Production History

  • Toronto Heliconian Club – presentation of a 5 song cycle adapted from Amanda Hale’s Pomegranate poems – with 2 student singers accompanied by a student harpist.

  • Workshopped with Tapestry Opera. Wayne Strongman conducted the work, with direction by Marjorie Chan. The project was graciously funded by an Ontario Arts Council grant.

  • Developmental workshop with Tapestry Opera. Michael Mori directed the workshop, with Evan Mitchell conducting.

  • Five performances at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, sponsored by Pride Toronto. Jennifer Tung conducted the run, with direction by Michael Mori. The production was self-produced by creators Kye Marshall and Amanda Hale, and generously supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and a donation from Nancy Ruth.

  • COC Revisioning begins with the addition of a six-singer Chorus, working with director Jennifer Tarver and conductor Rose Thomson.

  • A Canadian Opera Company sponsored workshop in Toronto, with direction by Jennifer Tarver and Rosemary Thomson conducting.

  • A sold-out run, showcased as a Pride Toronto featured event. Three performances at the Canadian Opera Company Theatre, with Rose Thomson as Musical Director, and Jennifer Tarver as Director.
